Mounjaro (Tirzepatide Injections)
Mounjaro is a self-injectable weight loss medication containing tirzepatide. Each pack includes four doses, conveniently available from Maplestead Weight Loss Clinic.
Tirzepatide helps regulate blood sugar levels, suppress appetite, and promote weight loss.
Mounjaro is a once-weekly injectable medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and aid in weight loss. It is recommended for adults with type 2 diabetes that is not well controlled, either as a standalone treatment or in combination with other diabetes medications when alternatives are ineffective.
For weight loss, Mounjaro is prescribed to individuals with a BMI of 30 or higher (obese) or those with a BMI between 27–30 (overweight) who also have weight-related health issues. It helps people lose weight and maintain a healthier weight. Clinical results show that patients typically lose about 11% of their body weight within four months and up to 20% after eight months of treatment.
Common side effects of Mounjaro include swelling, redness, itching at the injection site, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, and upset stomach. More serious side effects may include signs of kidney problems, vision changes, or symptoms of pancreas or gallbladder disease.

Wegovy (Semaglutide Injections)
Wegovy contains the active ingredient semaglutide, which mimics a gut hormone that slows digestion and reduces appetite. This helps individuals lose weight and maintain weight loss over time.
It is suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 kg/m² or more, classified as obese, or those with a BMI between 27 and 30 kg/m² who have weight-related health issues. Adolescents aged 12 and older who are obese and weigh more than 60 kg can also use it.
Wegovy can be accessed through a GP referral to specialist weight management clinics. It is also available for private purchase at select pharmacies, supermarkets, and high-street clinics.
The most common side effect is nausea, which often improves over time. Other side effects may include gallbladder problems, such as gallstones.
Wegovy should not be used by individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
